Sailing Journalist, Photographer & Podcaster …
Hinnerk Weiler is a German journalist, photographer, and podcaster specializing in sailing and maritime adventures. Originally from Hamburg, Germany, he currently resides in Klosters, Switzerland.
Weiler’s passion for sailing began in his youth, leading him to embark on numerous voyages, including a notable journey across the Atlantic and through the United States via the Great Loop – a continuous waterway that encompasses the US East Coast.
Professionally, Weiler has contributed to various publications, sharing his experiences and insights on sailing. After writing as editorial staff member for the german “segeln” sailing magazine for years he founded SegelnBlogs, an online portal dedicated to sailing enthusiasts, and hosts the Segelradio podcast, where he engages with sailors worldwide, discussing topics ranging from travel experiences to maritime culture.
With current revolutions in content creation and decline journalism work fields he became more of a digital media stretegist and storyteller, consulting media projects for digital based audiences.
In addition to his journalism and podcasting endeavors, Weiler offers photography services, with a portfolio that includes seascapes and travel imagery. His work reflects his deep connection to the sea and his commitment to sharing the beauty of maritime life with a broader audience.
Weiler’s diverse roles in the sailing community, be it as a sailing journalist, podcaster, and photographer underscore his dedication to promoting and documenting the world of sailing.
